INDIA

Parents went to India and got back Monday - so I appoligise for the lack of posting - but i actually love them...so i wanted to hang out with them.

Things they told me - parts are incredibly filthy, touts (evil people who try and sell you things - but you should never accept) rip you off, the place smells like smelly cauliflower and - well - cow excrement, some of the markets are incredibly overwhelming, if you are expecting silver bracelets you will probably will be disappointed, if you are expecting an elephant ride - you'll be faced with animals that look ill-treated and underfed with soars over their body, men dominate particular cities and if you are a woman you will be uncomfortable and confronted, its recommended if you are a woman you should not walk about un-accompanied, you shouldn't wear rvealing clothes - because the men stare and will look at you, go venture out - but be prepaired to get ripped off, be prepaired for beggars touching you, beggars asking for money, beggars will also approach you with babies that look sick - but they've only been drugged - do not believe most people as they will probably try and pick your pocket, try and get your money and will follow you if you do give them money!

The weddings are exquisite, the festivals, for example - when they throw coloured powder (can be seen in previous inia post) over the body, the temples and forts - especially the observatory is amazing to see.

when my parents wet it was about 41-46 most days and they ere very lucky to have an air-conditioned room. But a lot of the travelling they did was painstakingly long - for example my parents travelled by taxi for 6 hours...SIX HOURS!!!!...to Agora I believe? I may be wrong. I believe that it was to go see the Taj Mahal.

sounded like a blast! But i doubt i would ever go - Not really for me...

to have a sneak peak at india you should check out this site - it is gorgeous.
